cody owen stine is a nyc-based composer, producer, multi-intrumentalist, and music director. he is currently associate music director of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical Hadestown, and music supervisor of the Hadestown national tour. founding member and resident composer of SLOONDERMOON Collective.

as a composer/lyricist, his work has been produced at ars nova, prospect theatre, williamstown theatre festival, joe’s pub, edinburgh fringe festival, second city, la, and others. recent projects include an original score and sound design for “The Golden Calf” (the classics department); music supervision for “Reconstructing” (the TEAM); and original scores and sound design for Sloondermoon’s “The Oracle” (MoMA PS1), “Peep Show” (ChaShaMa), “Clinical Trial” (Stage Time), and "girlz nite in: rated r," (Sloondermoon with adult|children collective, ChaShaMa, Ed Varie Gallery).

in addition to his work on hadestown, he can be heard on the cast albums of “the robber bridegroom,” “the jonathan larson project,” “miss you like hell,” “the liz swados project,” and others. concert MD for Santino Fontana, Cristin Milioti, Eva Noblezada, and more.

winner of the inaugural Margaret Guthman Jazz Piano competition; 2019 commissioned artist with the williamstown theatre festival.
