CODY owen Stine is a songwriter, COMPOSER, ARRANGER, PERFORMER, MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST, AND MUSIC DIRECTOR.
After training and working as a jazz pianist, Cody fell in love with country, folk, rock, and musical theater, and picked up the guitar. He is now a multi-instrumentalist whose work spans all those genres as a performer, music director, and songwriter.
As a composer/lyricist, his work has been produced at Ars Nova, Prospect Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Joe’s Pub, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Second City, LA, and others. Musicals include: The Prisoner of Vegas (book, music, and lyrics) which received a full-length reading at Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab; Lysistrata, produced by Two-Headed Rep; several Delilah Dix shows (music and lyrics) at Ars Nova, Second City, LA, and Edinburgh Fringe; and a commission for Williamstown Theatre Festival.
He is also a singer songwriter, currently working on a series of new recording and concert projects.
As music director: currently conducting Hadestown on Broadway as the show’s Associate Music Director. Other Broadway credits (keys and guitars): Moulin Rouge! The Musical, SpongeBob Squarepants, Bandstand, Finding Neverland, and American Psycho.

As a performer: concerts throughout NYC and nationwide with artists including Clinton Curtis, Blaire Reinhard, André de Shields, Santino Fontana, Jose Llana, Daniel Breaker, Julian Fleisher, and many others.
Four years as resident cabaret director at Williamstown Theatre Festival with performers such as Amanda Seyfried, Justin Long, Jane Kaczmarek, Jessica Hecht, Patricia Lopez, Michael Friedman, and many others.
Cody is a 2019 commissioned artist with the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Upcoming work includes a rock musical based on Heinrich von Kleist’s play Penthesilea. He is a member of the Advanced BMI Musical Theater Workshop and the Dramatists Guild.
